Work Experience is a short comedy film starring James Cotter as Daniel Langdon and is written and directed by James Daly. It was shot on location in Bournemouth in October 2010.

Work Experience follows a student named Daniel (James Cotter) embarking on his first day of work experience. As well as dealing with nerves and his own insecurities, Daniel has to compete with another student named Stuart (Chris Dodimead) to make the best first impression. The only problem for Daniel is that he always seems to be one step behind his rival.

The film was premièred on the 1st January 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBDx2RYfyiQ but there's a teaser trailer online to watch.

Has the guy who edited this trailer ever had the opportunity to watch a trailer before? Because it seems to be missing a few of the vital elements of a trailer - for example, giving the film's potential audience a f**king clue as to what the story is about... Errr

Still, nice Clerks-esque music, which almost (but doesn't) make up for the lack of any sample dialogue (again, generally a staple of the comedy film trailer - unless it's all slapstick - which this doesn't appear to be in any way). :)

Tim, Tim, Tim

Tim

I got it imediately. All those shots of Cotter on his knees looking up fearfully.

It's a gay bukake porno.

It's more of a teaser trailer. Didn't want to give too much away although you can read the plot in the info bar. Glad you liked the music.

Trailer/teaser/whatever you want to call it; this reads like something made for the film makers, not the audience. Why does the average person, who has never heard of James Cotter, need to see his name in large print? How is that going to persuade him/her to watch the movie? Wouldn't it be better to let them know some fundamentals - for instance whether you're advertising a comedy or a drama? What the characters might be about? Some idea of the plot? Because all I'm getting are a bunch of people in a dull looking office moving around to a jazzy score, and if that's the experience I wanted could plug in my iPod right now and swivel my chair 180 degrees.

I have no idea whats going on. And little interest.

They pushed Cotter to far.

First they took his chair.

Then they made him sit on a box.

Now he wants vengance...and a tie!
