You should get the book Garry Shandling wrote about Larry Sanders called 'Confessions of a Talk Show Host' must be down to 99p by now.

I have. It's very thin with big print. There's some funny one-liners in it, but I can't remember much else.

The first two DVD's of seasons 1 and 2 have crept out and are in the shops now. Snow permitting I'll get season 1 on the way home.

I will hopefully be recieving series one for Christmas; I don't think I've ever seen a whole episode, so I'm looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about.

The singer of Informer is going to stop you buying DVDs? What else does he forbid?

I might have known it was a one hit Canadian rapper standing between me and glory!

Just watching the first series now on DVD. Fantastic stuff, and as good as I remember it.

I just hope the first two seasons sell well enough so that they release all six.

Recently I was challenged to compile a Top 20 list of the best ever TV shows and The Larry Sanders Show was the highest ranked sitcom. Having re-watched a few episodes over the last couple of days, I maintain this to be true.

The scripts were crammed full of crackling cynisism and three of the greatest ever lead characters, played to perfection by Garry Shandling, Rip Torn and, especially, Jeffrey Tambor ("Hey Now" Hank Kingsley is the best of the three).

Any other fans of this classy programme?

I was discussing this earlier in another thread, so I thought I'd give this thread a bump in case some one has never heard of this show?

DEFINITELY worth seeking out if you're a fan of curb your enthusiasm or the office.

Here's a clip of Hank Kingsley I found on YouTube, which kind of gives a flavour of the uncomfortable vibe of the show:

Uttery wonderful show but thougt the book was poor value - unlike the extras-laden DVDs.

I'm currently revisiting this
I never saw it properly when it was frst on, so I'm having a binge through now
Great stuff, with some terrific cameos, I'm really enjoying it
