Yeah, hawweeeell done to everyone who's pushed it. I'm as rough as a sandy Weetabix now.

Yep congrats to all who made it to 50K plus !!!
congrats to dave, zooo and fred. (and any others i have missed.)
I hope they sell and make millions! I got about 5000 words, truely pathetic.
Congratulations to everyone who made the effort.
I hope that it was worth the hours of toil and drudgery.
Well done to everyone who finished their novel. You're very clever and can now be smug and happy. :-)
I'm afraid I gave up by the end of the first week this year, but I did do it last year and know that hitting that 50,000th word is a great feeling.
In some kind of weird penance for my Nanowrimo failure I've launched an Advent Comedy Challenge for myself. If anyone wants to join me in an attempt to write a sketch a day in December..? Um, yeah, well, anyways. I'm going to stick the sketches on a blog:

So now the world can mock me when I quit on day 3. Only they'll probably have better things to do, like Christmas shopping, decorating the tree, drinking mulled wine, going to parties etc. Not sure why I decided to slog away at writing funny stuff instead of doing seasonal fun stuff? Hmm.
Anyway, congrats to all you clever novel writers!
Thaks to everyone. It was quite a struggle towards the end and then when I realised I'd done it it was quite a relief.
I can't do any writing now!
Well done everyone When do I get my signed copies?

I reckon my novel is now about a year away from being good enough to be routinely rejected by publishers. But if I do get it published I'll ride on a flying pig down to your house and sign a copy!

That soon?
I'm starting to rewrite tomorrow - or maybe next week.
Can any plots/themes be vaguely divulged?

Who said anything about plots or themes?
Can any words be divulged in a vaguely coherent order?
Congrats to all of you who completed it, and well done to all of you who tried something new by taking part!

Well if you're really interested it was a Leslie Thomas/Doc Martin type thing about a divorced bloke who now lives by the sea who falls in love with the barmaid at the local pub and his ex-wife gets jealous and tries to stop him geting access to the kids but his ex's mother helps him and then they find out a certain secret about the barmaid and then she gets pregnant and the mother in law dies and then.....etc etc etc
I really didn't know where it was going and just went along with the ride.
