My jocular suggestion that you be a subtle-humour pointer-outer was intended to be a compliment as you're the only person who revealed in a posting that they'd seen the double-entendre potential in MY post.

I accept totally that my double-entendre wasn't an obviously-intentional one and, accordingly, you were perfectly justified to pick it up and run with it.

I might be a bit of a (INSERT RUDE WORD) sometimes but I think most members will agree I'm not someone who enjoys having a go at decent people who haven't previously had a go at ME.

On Internet forums, it's very easier to interpret a perfectly friendly remark as a vicious insult.

I've done often enough.

Although, of course, most vicious insults are in fact exactly what they appear to be and some are actually WORSE!

I don't mind an edgy exchange of differing opinions, bodily fluids or Top Trump cards but as anyone will tell you on here I prefer being stroked on the belly.
