Why would he be black? He was a Jew, was he not, & though some are dusky one would not normally say they were black.

Unlikely though. I don't believe he's a spiritual higher being, but don't see any reason the man didn't exist in some form. By which I mean made up from different parts of different peoples life or something like that.

I think the whole "Jesus was black" theory is based on a quote in the bible mentioning the texture of his hair.
