Female comedians Page 13

A+, Nat. Go to the top of the class!

You didn't even use Gina Yashere.

The abysmal state of black (skinned) comedy in the UK is ably demonstrated by the the fact that Stephen K Amos has his own TV show.

Women comedians too are very thin on the ground - and that's quite ironic when one considers the ample proportions of most of them.

This isn't me being racist, sexist and fattist. This is me telling it like it is.

If you want black comedians, look to America.

If you want women comedians, look to America.

If you want thin women comedians, look to America.

The good old US of A has black comedians and women comedians of stellar quality.

In Britain, we've had some good ones but, overall, we're not in the same league.

They have a few more people.

I'm generally not a fan of American comics. Of course there are some I like, but I find the yank style not really to my taste. I think it's the style of performance that doesn't sit right with me. Maybe I'm just a big racist.. We shall see.

They have a few more people.

That would be a factor if they were out-gunning us 5 to 1, but the fact is they have a vast array of black and female comedy talent and we have nothing that compares to them.

Or Richard Blackwood, the British Richard Pryor.

Or Trevor MacDonald, the British Chris Rock.

Ava Vidal, Andi Osho, Lenny Henry, Stephen K Amos, Nathan Hudson.

AND two of them are women.

10 gold stars!

I don't like any of them, which means I must be both racist and sexist.

They don't have Harry Hill.

Or just like your comedy to be funny.

Ah, Harry 'Black Mama' Hill.

Dey shore don't, boy.

Dey shore don't.

Is this a haiku? .. I have had too much Pernod to count syllables I am afraid.

Female comedians are absolutely hillarious. Most of them exist in every day life just not on stage.

No, this is a haiku:

Doctor Matthew Hall
Changed his name to Harry Hill
Tim knew him you know

Laughing out loud
