I hope someone's reading this thread to Harvey Price.
He'll realise just how lucky he is.
Aw no, Scats But like others have said this may lead to something better. Good luck
I lost out on a commis today, it was bread and pasty. My favourite
Quote: Scatterbrained Floozy @ December 9 2010, 4:10 PM GMTMy boss asked me not to go in last week because they're not very busy right now. Same thing just happened about this week. I called her and she said that while she will definitely need me the week after this, she can't guarantee January/February, and I can't keep not earning money so.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
The Robyn without balloons is like Stott without a beard!
Or community outreach with vulnerable types

Are you trying to get her killed? Not that all vulnerable types are dangerous nutjobs.
They haven't done for me yet
How ever a manipulative pyschotic perv like you Chip?
You'd never pass the risk assessment.

Not completly sure that is legal.
Quote: Scatterbrained Floozy @ December 9 2010, 4:21 PM GMTI thought about this last week, but I don't have a written contract. I have a verbal one as such, but if I ask for a written one now, then she might just not put contracted hours I guess.
Not sure that matters. Temp workers have almost as many rights as Contracted ones these days.
You have payslips I assume?
You'll be alright now, Robyn.
BigFella QC is on the case.

What is a commis?

If you could call me M'learned Friend.
Bigfella is right.
The problem is once they want rid you can't force them to keep you. If you get in touch with the CAB you maybe to squeek abit of severance out of them.
Maybe an months average wages?
But can you be bothered? And do you just want a decent reference and hard feelings?
If you're leaving make sure you resign properly and discuss these things.
Also if you want to go on any sort of benefit it's important you don't make yourself voluntairly redundant.
That can be a real nuisance

In this case it was an apprentice baker.

Sounds very much like constructive dismissal to me and not very nice.
I don't actually think Scats has resigned as such from what I can make out.
