I'm starting to get excited about Christmas. What's the best thing about Christmas for you?
For me it's...
1. Big tins of Roses (the chocolates).
2. Circling all the programmes I want to watch in the Radio Times.
3. Watching the programmes whilst eating the Roses.

and it has to be Phil Spector's Christmas album.
i am partial to bad christmas songs. whilst decorating the tree.
wrapping presents on christmas eve, watching a film and drinking whisky.
Getting drunk and finding my way back home. Hours of fun.
Watching Muppet's Christmas Carol and the Nightmare Before Christmas. Getting a tree and (cue mushy music) spending time with my close family. Extended family are so annoying.
Best thing bout Xmas I get 2 weeks off and spend 97.5% of it in the pub. Marvellous.

Lights. Decorating. TV. Music, particularly A Christmas Gift For You From Phil Spector, as Dave points out. 
Every last flipping flapping thing.
I cannot WAIT to put the tree(s) up!!!!
But that's not for 2 weeks yet.

i was thinking of putting our falsey up next weekend - 8th.
I reckon the 10th is a good date. Not too early, not too boringly late. Put up some lights outside myself today, on the basis that it was reasonably good weather. Not on yet, mind. Just up.
outside lights are way beyond me. i might be able to tape a torch to the door or something.
What is with people who don't put the tree up until Christmas Eve?
