Another thread hijacked by your constant sniping. Nice.
Search for a new stand up star! Page 2
Sorry, Ellie.
I think this competition is good news for all wannabe stand-ups and it will prove great news for the eventual winner.
I was just making a joke about Lee's suggestion that it's open (in any meaningful sense) to people from all over Britain.
This is a comedy forum, after all.
Why isn't Aaron or Mark a judge? Another website gets a judge, why not this one?
Nat you should do this. Although my guess is you already know this and are going to do it.
Are you having a blast VV?
Moving thread...

I doubt it somehow, but good luck to all who get involved.
How gutted am I? Just read the terms and conditions and it turns out I'm no longer young.
Still, this bit would have probably done for my set anyway:
"Entries must not contain, refer to, condone, incite or encourage sexual violence or abuse, underage sex, non-consensual sex, offensive language, or humiliating or degrading treatment, promote racism, terrorism, hatred or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual; promote conduct that is objectionable, abusive, threatening, obscene, illegal, defamatory or libellous."

If you check out the entries, there's a guy called Gerry Howell who, judged on the basis of his 1-minute audition tape, is likely to do very well in this competition.
I'll be surprised if there are many 'better' stand-ups than Gerry in the semi-finals and anyone who beats this guy to the 1st prize will have to be one Hell of a talent.
I'll say this too: win or lose, we'll see this guy on TV.
He's good.

Not with those trousers.
