Hi.
Is it okay to send in a script to a production company, agent etc, in the form of a PDF file? I have Celtx as well but I thought an Adobe PDF might be the better option, but now I'm not so sure. Also, I was thinking about using Microsoft Word Works for the synopsis/outline, would that be okay?
Most people just use Microsoft Word docs.

Can't you export as a doc. file in Celtx? I thought you could.

I think so but if they don't have Celtx themselves then they won't be able to open it, and will then probably discard it straight away.

My worry is that whoever I send it to won't have Adobe which is needed to open it, I've heard it's pretty obscure.
Everyone has adobe Acrobat reader. Barring trogs, but it's best nto to send them scrips anyway. Being trogs and all.

Everyone? Really? So if I send them a PDF Adobe file they should definiately be able to, at least, read it?

Acrobat reader is a bog standard piece of kit which comes pre-built on most pcs and laptops. Even if it isn't, most people who didn't have it have downloaded it for free by now anyway.

Well, I'll admit I've learned a new word today. At first I thought you were just making up cromulent words but you've certainly embiggened my vocabulary.
