Duck.

I might have to do my own Christmas dinner, because I will be really depressed if I don't end up cooking one this year. I cooked two last year.

Turkey's too dry. Chicken for me.

Chicken is turkey for poor people.

Our Xmas do has the option of game pie. Pheasant, rabbit, pigeon & venison. Never had any of them? Any reccomendations?

If you get turkey crown (I don't know technically what it is, but it's a certain bit of the turkey) it isn't dry.

Yeah if you cook it all in one it is. You need to crown it and cook the dark meat seperately. Then you control the moistness of the turkey :)

It's the breast. Sometimes on the breast bone, sometimes boned (easy) and tucked. It's super easy to butcher yourself if you buy a whole turkey.

It's the breast meat. Dryness probably depends on how cooked etc and what bird you have bought. I'm with the Chip with chicken. I don't like the texture of turkey - although I am being forced to eat it at a party type of thing. I shall report back.

Venison is beautiful, as is pigeon. I don't eat pheasants like I wouldn't eat a cat, and rabbit is very perfumey so not for everyone.

I would eat a cat

**pulls pin, throws, waits**

Chicken's a bit boring and everyday though, go for duck!
