Hello All,
I've launched a new website called www.themondaysupplement.co.uk - It aims to take an alternative look at what's happening in the news....I know there are a few other sites like this but having read them I feel that there's room for something slightly different.
I'd appreciate feedback on some of the content, the style and the humour used....it makes us laugh sothat's the main thing but if anyone has any tips on how it could be improved I'd really appreciate it.

IT'S a shame that the excellent parodic results of your Supplement aren't, in my piss-poor opinonion, matched by the content.

If this is true why bother inviting others to critique you work?
I would venture to say that your professed self-satisfaction is a
loada bollerx. The simple and logical justif**kation for my assault
on your integrity is supported by the very fact that you DID knowingly
and wittinglessly incite said assault by posting that which you did AND,
moreover, where you did.
In response to your request for improvement tips: Re-set your sights and
aim at making your audience laugh. For me that IS the main thing.

I had a quick look on my phone and the site is very professional looking and is a great idea. For me the page was a bit busy with too much going on for a single story to grab my attention, but I'm only a salesman in a call centre so what do I know? If I was doing it and I'm no expert, I'd focus making fewer stories and spend more time on perfecting them.
It's vital it makes you laugh as if it doesn't make the writer laugh how can you expect anyone else to?
Good luck with it, at least you're having a go and not just making failed attempts at humour at other peoples works expense.
You see, that's just what we need, constructive criticism, maybe we should get you to write an article and show us how it's done.
The point about the website making us laugh is that we do it because we enjoy it.... if we can get better at it then great... you can't please all the people all of the time.
Cheers Cynic 38 - appreciate the comment - agree with you on the business of the page - our aim is to fill it with content and then prune the sections that aren't working.... we'll keep messing about until we get it right.
No problem, the idea is the hardest thing and you've got that, the rest will no doubt follow with a bit of hard graft.
There are too many people on here that are full of hot air with nothing to offer but 'humourous' insults, but then if I had nothing better to do than sit infront of my computer waiting for Lesley Grantham to Skype me I'd have to find something to occupy my tiny mind.
It's not bad but it is very busy and a little distracting to look at.
I'd suggest going for a smaller number of stories and really perfecting them. At the moment it's not really feeling that distinct from similar sites
But the humour and writing is pretty good
