I'm watching this now. Strange.

I quite like that it's weirdly moral, in that by the end you realise that bad things happened to people who deserved it. Except the, er, parents, who probably didn't deserve to have their daughter die.
Or did theyyyyyy? No? Ok.
It was ok, amusing in places.
A flock of green parakeets flying across the snowy sky. I bet they wished they knew the way home.
The Player. Alongside all the Hollywood-satire stuff it's a pretty effective thriller. And Whoopi Goldberg is very good in it -not a phrase you hear often.

You take that back, sir!

The image is blocked on my machine, so my argument stands!
I've just looked on my phone. There is something audacious about that particular film. The balls on those film makers must be huge.

How unrealistic is this! I mean, Whoopi Goldberg playing a cop? Ridiculous!
Supersize Me. It's surprisingly entertaining watching a man fat himself to death.
Crank 2: High Voltage
A by the numbers retread of the original. No bad thing. Lots of fun - if you're in the right mood.
And Jason Statham is 'lush'. Apparently.
The 1951 version of The Thing. Classic golden age sci-fi. I'm even looking forward to the new version out next year now.
The new version is actually, from what I've read, a prequel of sorts to the eighties one. I don't think it's pout till towards the end of next year.
But I'd imagine what happened just before the 1982 one is exactly the same as what happened in the 1982 one. I.e., shape shifting alien kills members of arctic station one by one.

Well, yeah.

Quite. It's gonna involve the Swedish (was it) team that ended up hunting the dog in the opening shots, joined by an American lady scientist. It could be ok, but I expect it'll be shit and only make the Carpenter version look better still.
