Aliens from outer space Page 2

Funny how my sketches cause so much debate!

Don't pretend you don't love it

Could have been the wind? ;)
..or a sedated sheep that had been roaming around wildly in the night unknowingly creating all sorts of crazy patterns

Look at the example in the photo above. Could the wind or an animal do that?

The Balony test isn't meant to "prove" that they are made by people just not by aliens. There is evidence that they are made by people such as people who make them saying we make them and this is how we do it.

I don't have to disprove every photo, not all of which may be genuine, you have to prove that they are made by aliens, and, since there is no evidence for aliens visiting this planet, then you have to get to that first. Anyways this is a thread about Juan's (fine) sketch not crop circles, and I'm sure I am as unlikely to change your mind as you are mine, so you know, I think people do them, you can't imagine how that would be done so you think it's aliens. I don't really mind enough, was just saying. :)

and this

No no. I NEVER claimed that they were made by aliens. Look over what I said above. In fact I neither believe nor dis-believe in the existence of aliens and/or whether they made the crop circles. It was YOU that categorically said they are made by people, so it is up to you to prove that ALL the crop circles are made by people. It's an established fact, I understand, that SOME of the crop circle patterns were made by some people.

I'm quite happy to believe that there might be other causes for some crop circles other than people.

The hypothesis that they are all done by people is just as extreme as the hypothesis that they are done by aliens, because it implies that there is a secret society of mathematically inclined humans who like to go out in the dead of night with ropes, planks theodolites and other survey instruments, and who are more accurate than regular surveyors and can do all this in the dark in the short summer nights that last at most 4 hours. And they have not been spotted doing this and none of this secret society has ever been exposed and described how the most complex patterns have been created.

Yeah okthat's fair enough Mr Bill. I did say you said that and I was wrong. It is up to me to prove that all crop circles were made by people but I can't be arsed.

You never said they were made by aliens and, of course there is obviously something else other than people or aliens making pretty patterns in fields. What it is, who knows? but definitely not people, because as you say, they are very large and complicated and people are not very good at making large and complicated things using simple but time consuming methods.

The hypothesis that they are all done by people is just as extreme as the hypothesis that they are done by aliens, because people are just as hard to prove the existence of as aliens. and the fact that some people admit to making crop circles does not in anyway alter the probability that people make all of them.

I was just joking with the sheep thing, don't take it to heart.

All in all, crop circles are a very strange phenomena, I like the idea that Juan put forth in the sketch that they are akin to the signs that hobos/tramps chalk on gateposts to inform other tramps about the nature of the inhabitants.

Lol thanks Bill. Lets just agree to disagree they look pretty damn awesome.

I'm amazed none of our forum friends has stated as a cast-iron fact that all the crop circles in the world are the work of the same person, working alone.

Laughing out loud

LOL :D

I can't deny it, Bill.

As well as being half the membership of BCG and creating every crop circle ever discovered, I also deliver all the world's Christmas presents on Christmas Eve while Santa stays at home watching the telly.

It's a hard life, I can tell you. Laughing out loud
