The alternative is Misery and that one's even worse.
Last years snows I got cajoled into going to work. No clients turned up and the bus home got stuck in snow for 4 hours.
I only noticed when I finished the book I had begun reading at the start of my journey.
The journey should take 20 minutes tops.
Then it took me an hour and a half to do the 15 minute walk to my domicile.
At which point I closed the project for the next day. Leaving my boss with the strong impression that if I turned up there it would be with the purpose of burning the place to the ground. So as to warm myself.
