Ask Rhod Gilbert - Series 1 Page 2

Rhod is becoming a little over-exposed; he is starting to irritate me now.

But I think his Nevermind The Buzzcocks appearence got him this gig.

I think he's a great host. So far it's a total hit with me; great presenter and regular panellists, great guests, excellent chemistry and a very good sense of humour.

Has this finished now?

*views guide* Guess so.

Didn't really like it. His Radio Wales show is better.

Hooray! The first recorded instance of someone from the forum actually looking at all the info available.

Ask Rhod Gilbert was alright, but the trio of regulars proved they could be so much funnier together without the 'hinderance' of guests when presenting Rhod Gilbert's Bulging Barrel of Laughs on Radio 2.

Ha! I often use the guides, but I don't like to go on about it. :D

The radio series was better, yes, but the TV show was very enjoyable too. I could've done without the ritual humiliation of Lloyd every week though.

It felt a bit like they were trying to create another Karl Pilkington?

Or am I being too cynical.

Yes.

Noted.

I think the problem was there wasn't enough focus. The three mainstays were funny enough and the format (any question imaginable) should work. But there wasn't really enough focus and throwing in clips from YouTube doesn't really help.

Another series. The first was just a mess.

I hope he finds a way to slip in his joke about the flattened luggage.
