What you say is true, but the term 'female comedians' includes a significant number of women who've cottoned on to the fact that talking about sex on stage is a sure-fire money-spinner for women at low-rent venues.
Such women are not 'comedians' in any meaningful sense. Take them out of the equation and the differences between male and female comedians are reduced very substantially indeed.

Both men and women can be crap comedians and tell crap jokes but that's not what I'm talking about.
When a man tells a sexual joke, his success depends on the quality of the joke and its telling. No 'normal' audience member is getting off on just hearing him say the words.
Alfred's views on 'female comedians' are an unwarranted insult to the talented ones but he's right about the lower end of the market.

I think you'll find periods are very much related to a person's sex, as is the way they use toilets.
Fat is also a bigger social problem for women than for men.
