The BCG isn't a clique of ANY sort. It's a group of comedy fans who for the most part want to see more and more talented people join their ranks. What does seem also to be true is that there's a small clique intent on driving away talents superior to their own.
As for not discussing comedy, last night I said Juan of a Kind's 'Cavemen' sketch was among the very best I've read in Critique and my opinion was immediately dismissed as 'irrelevant' by a moderator. Would that encourage YOU to discuss comedy?
Your opinion of the above sketch is understandable and I'm sure many will share your views but was it not George Orwell who said "Whatever destroys dignity, and brings down the mighty from their seats, preferably with a bump, is funny"?
I'm not saying you're wrong to feel a sour taste but this shocking sketch has quality nevertheless.
