Pretty dull first half, although Carroll's doing well. Don't get the booing, it's an experimental side in a friendly.

Doubt I'll bother with the second half, The Apprentice awaits.

I agree on all counts. (Except maybe Andy Carroll is struggling with playing in a decent team for once. :D)

:D

He needs more service from the wings.

Was Andy Carroll playing?

He might have given the ball away for the goal though... Errr

He's given the ball away a fair bit. Hard to be too critical based on that half alone though. He's been bloody impressive all season. On the pitch at least...

Quite.

France have just scored again. :(

I'm watching the Apprentice. That means the goal doesn't exist in my reality.

I'm watching both. Sugar's been substituted.

Lost again - to the bloody French!

Well I didn't watch it so can't comment really. And Capello did ask for patience from the fans but that really depends on whether they paid a tenner for their ticket or eighty.

First half was very poor. Improved after the break when he played a right back at right back (shock!) and switched Milner inside to replace the woeful Barry. When did Barry last perform even averagely for England?

England need to employ 'hoofball' tactics, with Crouch and Carroll as target men.

Rooney should be employed as a midfield schemer, with Adam Johnson and Walcott on the flanks.

Ideally this team would be managed by Sam Allardyce and Graham Taylor.

I really like Graham Taylor. Not as a manager obviously, his football was horrible. But as a man, I think he comes across very well. It makes me sad to think about the way he was treated by the media when he was England manager.

I thought he was really funny on those adverts, before the World Cup started.

In the papers there's a parrot who recites the names of his football team's players.

It's Manchester United. How appropriate!

Did someone say STILL unbeaten in the league, second only on goal difference, STILL in every competition AND with our best player back?

Smarmy
