The director was a bit too intersted in cool visuals and slo-mo.
Still enjoyed it though.

I loved Zach Snyder's Dawn of the Dead remake, but Watchmen and 300 didn't quite live up to that early promise. Still, his next movie, Sucker Punch, looks fun.

Goddam this show's good. Absolutely gripping. Great writing. Great performances. Great effects. Brilliant.
And they've just ordered a second series!
Why do the yanks do these types of shows so well I wonder? Is it just a case of having more money to spend which opens up more possibilities?
