I'm sure it's just bruised. The ground was slippy so I slid rather than landed heavily. I'm made of strong stuff.
Plus no, I didn't get his name or anything.

If you didn't hit your noggin, you're all right. It's head injuries that kill you later on.
Cheerful.
I'm hungry. Food time.

In Tim's abscence, I thought I'd step in with my extensive medical knowledge.
I just purchased season tickets for the local university's new (American) football program. Four seats for 6 home games: $300. It's almost cheaper than going to a movie. I'll probably give away half of the tickets to my neighbors.

That's not bad, 6 games doesn't seem too many for a whole season though!

They have an 11-game schedule next year. It's hard to fit many games into a season that only lasts 3 or 4 months and you have to remember that these guys are students and have academic activities to worry about.
The professional (NFL) teams play a 16-game season with 2 or 3 preseason games and any playoff/championship games that they might earn the privilege of attending.

Ah! In the context of a three or four month season it doesn't sound too bad. The games themselves are quite long anyway, aren't they?
Robyn wants to get a crazy Starbucks Christmas coffee.
I saw a big version of BillWill today
He must have wondered why I stared.
Maybe it was the real Bill but just very close up

Is this "proper" college football or the league below DaButt?

They were bloody long when I played.

Yeah. Four 15-minute quarters plus halftime and timeouts equals about 3.5 hours or so. It's a covered stadium so it'll be a pleasant way to spend an afternoon/evening.
At least the stadium will be getting some use. It was built almost 20 years ago in an effort to bring an NFL team to town but that never came to fruition and it's mostly unused these days. 65,000 empty seats ...

In 2012 they are joining the Division 1 Western Athletic Conference and will be considered a "big" program. The WAC doesn't have many great teams but Division 1 is as high as you can go.
Public executions

I expect the Roadrunners (the name of the university's team) to be killed many, many times during the first few seasons of play.
