New but old

Hi Everybody,
Only found this site today and am quietly happy.
I'm an old bloke and I spend more of my pension than I really should on going to stand up gigs, but both me and my wife like a really good laugh so we think it's worth it.
My favourite joke at the moment is the one Brian Blessed uses as a link on Dave -
Bloke goes into a pub with a steering wheel between his legs.
Barman says "Do you know you've got a steering wheel between your legs"?
Guy says "Yes, it's driving me nuts".

Sorry, but that's where my humour is.

I hope it's okay to also introduce myself on the back of a reply to someone's else's introduction but here we go.

Hi my name is Rob and I'm new to the comedy forum.

I have always really enjoy the watching of comedy, but very recently I have begun to have a go at writing some things as well (NewsJack, 24/7, Radio Rejects) and I thought this would be a great place to try and do a little more.

I'm a big fan of sketch shows (Mitchell and Webb, Not the Nine O' Clock News etc) but I also like stand-up (Stewart Lee is my favourite).

It's really nice to meet everyone.
