John Candy's daughter

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1102481/
Looks like she's gone intio producing I'm sure he would be proud, would have been 60 on Halloween had he lived

60! Great shame he died. Planes, Trains and Uncle Buck were great eighties comedies. Although are you sure that's his daughter? Looks a bit slim.

If only they made a straight version of 'Planes, Trains...' you'd be very happy.

Only The Lonely wasn't bad. He was a cop who was basically an American Timothy Lumsden but it was very moving in places.

That new film with the guy out of The Hangover is supposed to be like a new Planes and Trains.. sounds like a pile of steaming -- from what I've read though

Yes, the trailers do make it look a bit Planes, Trains. I'll wait for it to be on TV, though.

It's like Planes and Trains, but a lot coarser as most comedies tend to be these days. Nearest Planes and Trains got to being like today's films is the classic car rental scene and where it looked like Steve Martin's character
Neal got picked up by his testicles.

Uncle Buck was good

I wasn't allowed to watch Uncle Buck until I was 15. There were many things that I wasn't allowed to watch. I think my parents were secretly Amish.

Did they used to hide in the shed and wear straw hats?

We did have a shed, and my dad did own a straw hat. :O

But they didn't let me watch many things, many of them with John Candy. Maybe they had a thing against chubby Canadians... :(
