Looks like the kind of prank that I've seen on Japanese shows, but the voiceover at the beginning is definitely German (or a close variation). Don't know if anyone else can come up with anything further?
It's German. The goose-stepping before they fall in is a dead giveaway. Although I did a Google on German and Comedy and got zero hits.
Found this amazing german prank. Very good. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/876063/hilarious_mirror_prank/
(Yes, it is definitely German. The voiceover at the beginning is just explaining about them having dug a hole and then filling it with water. Surprisingly enough.)
cheers. think it originates from a german prank show.....not sure what the actual programme's called though.
Yeah, having watched again, I'm pretty sure I've seen it before. Probably does the rounds on those kind of hidden camera type shows. Will try and get in touch with a German friend, see if he knows what show it might be.

Ha ha ha ha.
I probably shouldn't be laughing though. That was very cruel. Especially with those dogs on leads. They're also lucky no one had a heart condition.
I've always wondered with messy pranks like this how they say sorry to the participants after. I mean... they must need new clothes for starters. And what about all the time they'll have lost and having to change their plans.
I'm sure that a nice fat wodge of cash does the trick.
(Wadge? Woge? However it's spelled.)

Lurking... I'm always lurking

I'd be amazed if all the victims weren't hired. for those exact reasons. would anyone really be prepared to sign a release form after falling into a hole full of cold water ?
