Shows that you hate Page 3

Now Piers Morgan will be invading our TV 5 nights a week.

Two words: 2nd amendment. ;)

The Wire. Soooooooo over rated. Ok the emphasis on criminal side was interesting, but a turgid collection of police type cliches. Hill Street Blues did it so much better decades ago.

NO. JUST NO. I'll not have this, Sooty. I've written you off as a human being now.

Shows I hate (as in ones that I will absolutely refuse to have on my TV):

Russel Howard's Good News
Strictly come Wanking
I'm a Celebrity (et al)
Eastenders, Corrie, Emmerdale
The Hills/The City (et al)
Two and a Half Men
Big Bang Theory
Charmed
Most Haunted (et al)
Only Fools and Horses and all of it's spin offs (oooh, contravensial)
Deal or No Deal

There are probably more.

I need to wind-down my brain with something like WifeSwap or Come Dine With Me.

I'd argue that Come Dine With Me is not trashy, or at least not trash in the disposable way that some soaps are.

I love Come Dine With Me.

I did, until it started being on all the time.

Most of us have done that by the time we've been here a week. ;)

I think we've asked you this before, so apologies, but what exactly is it about Big Bang Theory that you hate?

Do the characters annoy you, or do you hate the type of humour or something?
Cos I can understand you not loving it, but to hate it is quite extreme!

The one with the robot hand this week was funny.

I saw a couple of episodes of the first series and disliked the characters, the acting and the setup. It made it worse that one of my old housemates kept telling me how much I should like it because it's so 'intelligent'. I also didn't like this housemate, so the the association killed any possibility of me ever liking it. I'm a strange one.

I'm not sure what your housemate meant by 'intelligent'. Obviosuly they're supposed to be clever, but I wouldn't say the show itself is super smart or anything.

I watched the entire first serious and only laughed a few times, and that was only because something funny was happening outside my window at the same time.

Never watch comedy serious and expect more than a few laughs.

Ahh, fair enough then!

Ah, so BBT is your Titanic. When that behemoth came out all my friends and family raved how it was the best movie ever made. Mind you, I was a film student at the time and had very little patience for such nonsense. I still haven't seen it. And I never will. :D

It's one of those where you have to suspend all logic and common sense. Sit back and enjoy. I was about 11 y.o when it was first out and I was like yukky romance ew. But I've got to admit, it's quite enjoyable, if like I said just take off your critque-hat for about 3 hours.
