Shows that you hate Page 2

Coming of Age. I accidentally caught a bit last night and part of me died.

Your version is more about history, whereas ours is really just a lot of old people trotting out stuff that they think is worth a fortune, finding out it is, making a big show of being shocked, and then unconvincingly telling the appraiser that they "wouldn't part with Great Aunt Mabel's chamber pot for all the money in the world." It's interesting, but the people tend to be so phony.

You've pretty much described our version too.

Yeah, I guess. But it just drives me crazy how people can be sooo fake when they haul their crap in and act so sincere, when you know damned well the second they went home they called an auction house to unload their priceless heirloom.

Anything that involves 24/7 monitoring in a house of some sort. Thankfully these shows are dying out.

Things that try to be like Top Gear. Give up.

Sports-based quiz shows.

Those Piers Morgan Life Stories.

The X Factor. Bleeuurrgghh.

What's the trashiest, waste-of-time show you watch?

Anything with Piers Morgan in it.
Friends.
Dancing on BBC
Singing on ITV

I think our new Top Gear is going to be rather shitty. The people hosting it don't have the kind of personalities that can carry a show like that. But who knows? Maybe it will be okay. I'm not holding my breath though.

I don't watch every episode of any of the shows that might be termed trashy; but I have happily watched episodes of those Katie Price and Peter Andre things. Basically the odd bits and pieces of a lot of trashy stuff. But The X Factor, no thank you. Actually, I watched all of the last Celeb Big Brother.

Now Piers Morgan will be invading our TV 5 nights a week. Who had the horrible idea that he was a suitable replacement for Larry King??? Angry

:O

Stott's a secret ITV2 viewer!

I only asked because personally I couldn't watch "high-quality" TV all the time. Maybe I watch too much TV but I need to wind-down my brain with something like WifeSwap or Come Dine With Me.

I'm glad you are human too (because I was beginning to get worried).

I'd say it's a great loss to us as a nation him moving. But really unless his plane goes down over the Atlantic it's a massive missed opportunity for everyone.

I don't understand how Piers Morgan has a TV career now. I do not understand. How?!

Because American TV executives are always won over by a foreign accent. That's why.
