It was better than I expected but not as good as I hoped. The Kraken at the end looked quite good and the woman in it was hawt.
I just watched Inception. I wasn't floored by it but it kept my interest.

This from the man who's all in a tizzy about Zombieland 2 being 3D! Sometimes I just don't get you, Chip.

Ooh yes I forgot I watched this the other night. I thought it was brilliant, and me and Dan spent ages coming up with theories about it and explaining them to each other

He's an idiot. Like anyone who thought Clash of the Titans was anything but total toilet staining crap.

But Titans was shot in 2d with a few 3d bits bolted on. Films actually shot in 3d generally look and feel different.

It wasn't great but it was entertaining. As you would expect from the director of The Hulk and the first two Transporter films. Which were also not great but nonetheless entertaining.

It's as much fun as a Francis Veber film accompanied by good shiraz and cheese. Did you know Billy Mitchell has reclaimed the title?

I remember expecting his children to turn round and not have faces. But they did. Very enjoyable film, though. I don't think Nolan's made a bad film.

Likewise.
Yap.
The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. One of my all time favourite films. Nobody could do eye-twitchy madness better than Bogart.

Didn't Weebee win it back though?
I'm so behind on my Donkey Kong World Record knowledge.
I Loved King of Kong, it was a fascinating insight to the gamers world, I found the characters compelling.
Inception blew my socks off, great acting, amazing effects, clever story, loved it.
Late to the argument on this one, but Anchorman was a really funny movie, if over-long and at times self-indulgent. And, as Married With Children is one of my guiltiest ever pleasures, Christina Applegate being in it made it brilliant by default.
Will Ferrell is suffering from the same problem a lot of naturally funny SNL types have been afflicted by over the years, namely that it's assumed that they can elevate any old shit merely by their screen presence and natural ability. Most of the stuff that Ferrell does suffers from selling an idea for a movie starring Will Ferrell, rather than writing a really great script and then casting him appropriately. But that's been a problem with Hollywood comedy ever since the silent era...
And Vince Vaughan? He was excellent in Swingers and that's that. He's not a natural comic actor. This was fine in Swingers as it wasn't a broad comedy. It's nice that his buddies give him work, but he'd be better off going back to acting school and appearing in some more serious roles, which he would be better at.
Ben Stiller, though he's done some dodgy ones, stands tall as the one who can tell a good script from a bad one (perhaps because he himself is obviously a better screenwriter than the others). Saying that, I think that Zoolander is somewhat over-rated. It's a series of sketches, not all of them good ones and has a terrible 3rd Act. I actually thought Will Ferrell's performance was one of the highlights - goes to show what I know...
