Date with Death

MEGAN: So how was your date with Jamie?

KATIE: He took me up the West End.

MEGAN: To see a show hopefully?

KATIE: Yeah, Thriller. I think he enjoyed it, he just doesn't say much.

MEGAN: He's a good listener, that's perfect for you.

KATIE: <GIVES MEGAN A GLARE> He was a true gent, dragged me home...

MEGAN: I wish someone would do that to me.

KATIE: But he didn't even try to kiss me.

MEGAN: Maybe he's shy?

KATIE: Shy? He wouldn't take 'No' for an answer. I found him in the bushes outside my flat this morning.

MEGAN: Well, that sounds nice.

KATIE: I don't want a 'nice' guy, I want a man who's interested in my body, not my brains!

:D
Very good.

Yes. Good-good. Not that weird bad-good.

sorry I didntt get it

I'm a bit lost too. I think maybe the title is confusing me.

Didn't Mr Stott do something akin to this punchline on Radio 4?

Wait... Is this a zombie sketch? Are the characters zombies or the guy they're talking about?

Yes David lol

Both? Forgive me but there's no evidence of that.

The guy is a Zombie

The joke is that he only wanted her for her brains, it's a reversal kinda gag. :)

Ah, I see. It's not exactly obvious without that being stated in the directions though - you've got to give me that!

And yeah, Stott did end a sketch with a similar punchline once. It's not a huge leap to make the brains/zombie connection though, which is appropriate given his tiny, malformed legs.

I imagined it as a voice-only radio style sketch. No directions needed.

But how would anyone know the sketch was about zombies with no set-up to that effect? This is critique, damnit!

No cos it's a reversal/reveal at the end. That's the gag. The clue is he took her to see thriller which is paid off in the end line. I don;t think it would help being telegraphed.

Maybe an extra punch with the word zombie in it?

Because the writing is so god-dammed good, innit!

Maybe it should be:
