Arkansas School Board Member Says Gay Students Should "Get AIDS and Die"

Bit of a sad indictment of the American education system that people like these can have anything to do with schools. I can't imagine anybody in Britain associated with a school ever saying anything like that. Publically.

What a c**t. He's the kind of person that gives self-righteous, ignorant American homophobes a bad name.

Wow.

And I bet he won't even get sacked from the school board.

He resigned a few days ago.

Anyway, hope he comes back! Throwing what comes across as a bit of a hissy fit isn't going to help. Silly old Stephen.

It's ironic that Stephen complains that women aren't as up for sex as men, when his hero, Peter Cook, complained that they were sex mad...

Hurrah!

To revisit an earlier story, namely:

The Daily Mail, Uganda-style.

The editor of the newspaper has tried to defend his headline by saying gays are worse than terrorists.

Watch him say it here:

So it's not just the The Guardian's Pink List by any other name then?

Get well soon, Mr Baker! One of the most entertaining men ever to have hosted a radio show. If you've never been part of his audience (or community, as I like to think of them) over the years, you have really missed out. Some of the most genuinely laugh-out-loud moments I've ever experienced have been listening to Danny on the radio.

BBC News is reporting that a Met firearms officer is under investigation after it emerged he deliberately inserted song titles into his testimony during the inquest into that barrister who got shot.

:O
What a dick.

I suppose this would basically be contempt of court. He's probably still giving a true account but thought he was being clever.

I heard about a football manager who does a similar thing in interviews but that's quite harmless.

It sounds like a Steve Sunshine game that's gone too far. What is his day job?

He has the tash for it. The "fuzz", I believe it's called.

Yeah so there's been a brutal murder literally around the corner from my office. Can see the murder site from the office. Bit weird, because Newcastle City Centre is usally very safe.

That bloody hitman I hired! He can't be trusted to get anything right! ;)
