Movie Idea - Day of The Gay Page 2

I admit the opening sequence was a bit strong, it was just a case of me getting carried away with dark humour. I'm sure you can understand being a fellow Chris Morris fan, I mean, some of his Brass Eye shows were very edgy, especially the one about Paedaphilia, or people with Aids, or his latest movie Four Lions about British Muslim terrorists. But, being a supporter of LGBT, a member of the Elton John Aids foundation and a fan of dark comedy, I take it all with a pinch of salt.

Yes and Yes.

I've never thought of this country as being any more homophobic than anywhere else, and a great deal less than a lot of places.

Look I'd probably say America is up there, amongst some Middle East countries like Iran, where homosexuality is a crime. England has got better, and if you're interested, I've posted an article that proves this, but also uncovers some truths that homophobia is still infecting and affecting our society. Thank God they don't use Chemical castration anymore, as per Alan Turing (who actually received a formal apology from Prime Minister Gordon Brown) Shame Alan wasn't alive when he received it!!!

I would have thought Australia more homophobic than England. What made you aim your rancour cannon our way?

What's Australia got to do with anything?

Homophobia's everywhere, and most definitely Australia. But, the story is set in England. It's not a personal attack on my old home country just that the idea was created with English characters in mind. It wouldn't work in Australia as they don't really get dark humour. Could very well work in America but I'm English and therefore like to stay patriotic to my English brothers and sisters :-)

Maybe you should just write the script Macca and see how you get on. Ideas are ten a penny apparently - the plays the thing as some bald fellow once remarked.

It's his home town.

I'll give it a go. See how it churns out. Thanks for all your comments :-) I'm somewhat re-inspired :)

I vote gay zombies!

Haha, thanks for the vote. If it means anything to anyone that was initially insulted I've passed the idea to my best friend who is Gay and he thought it a funny idea, but just advised me of some of the 'steer clear' jokes as they would most certainly offend.

It's a sketch idea, if it were to be done at all, it's not a film idea.

You're probably right. I was thinking of doing a few sketch ideas. One could even be about Womens rights, ethnic rights etc

What sort of woman's rights?

Maybe not so much womens rights, as they already have them :-) Maybe a community that's biased against women??
