Movie Idea - Day of The Gay

Day of the Gay (working title)

Day of the Gay is a spoof comedy which centres around the lives of a small group of homophobic villagers who have recently discovered that some of their locals are starting to act a little more 'camp' than usual.

So, in order to endure the latest infestation of (what the local headlines are calling) 'Gay' people, the small group of struggler's must band together in order to survive...

Intro Narration

No one would have believed that in the early years of the 21st century, our world was gradually being inhabited by a new breed of people with alternate sexual preferences. Some of these people were great people, famous people, such as entertainers like Elton John and Rock Hudson. As men and women went about their daily business, they were unbeknown as to who and what was watching them. With harmless ignorance, these heterosexual men and woman, who were created in the image of our Heterosexual God, happily existed in a world of great promise and peace. Yet, across the gulf of the earth, gays, lesbians, metrosexuals and transgenderians, looked upon our men and women with desirous eyes. And slowly and surely, drew their seedy plans against us.

If only the UK Film Council wasn't being scrapped...

Really, I haven't been back to the UK for a while, did you like the idea??

Are there rules about calling 'troll'?

Hmm, just read your other sketch Macca, seems you're not a troll. The other sketch is decent, some great lines. This movie idea is terrible and seemingly bigoted - depending on exactly where the film develops.

It's a terrible, terrible idea Macca. How on Earth did you imagine anyone would go for this? Move on to other things, this is a none-starter.

I don't know... if Noel Clarke was ever looking to do a comedy...? Whistling nnocently

I was gonna ask, is the sequel about blacks?

I was gonna ask, is the sequel about blacks?

No, "coloureds"...

Why do 19th century Tenesee cotton farmers use Persil?

it stops the coloureds running

Wow, I feel like Enoch Powell now! It was going to be a pop at homophobic england rather than homosexuals themselves (being a LGBT supporter myself). But I guess the concept may come across as too prejudiced, or is it just rubbish altogether??

Homophobic England? You do realise you have your location down as Australia??

Yes and Yes.

Damn! Looks like someones got the idea already. 5.5 millions views too, and all positive comments I noticed (even some Gay. Maybe my idea wasn't so bad afterall :-) Enjoyed the post. However, mine would still be in support of the LGBT society rather than the phobes :-)

However, mine would still be in support of the LGBT society...

I'm not sure comparing them to paedophiles in the opening sequence would do much to convince many gays you were supporting them...
