I only remember it because I did a really loud laugh and got embarrassed (no one else laughed). :(

Bloody cinemas.

I've found myself laughing at that movie, and feel uncomfortable because I can't tell if they were intentionally trying to be funny. The subject came up in a film class once and my class was split.

I think most of it is intentional. Some of it, certainly, seems funny now because of Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein. But some of the characters are so OTT it has to be intentional.

According to my film professor, he said that the director was upset that the movie was being made and it wouldn't be as good as the original. So I think it was made to be funny, but it's also considered to be James Whale's masterpiece by many film historians.

I think it's a great film, but maybe not a great horror.

Yeah, it certainly isn't scary.

Yeah, it certainly isn't scary.

I guess I found those Universal Horrors scary when I was a kid, but see different aspects to them now. Like with the Adam West Batman TV series. As a kid I loved the action, then as an adult you discover the humour.

Yeah, it's like not realizing how dirty the Bugs Bunny cartoons were until you are much older.

:O Really? I haven't seen amy of those for a while. I'll have to check them out.

Check out some of the ones from the 40s. :D
