I've always been the same-very very sensitive. It's jus tthe thought of people being lonely. I remember when I was younger and I used to walk my dog past this old ladies house. She had a dog and our dogs used to always touch noses through her gate-very sweet. One day, I passed her house and the dog wasn't there she explained that the dog had passed away and I cried for almost an hour. Mainly because that dog was that womans main source of company. Mind you, A few months later the lady died and I didnt shed a tear-not quite sure what that says about me!

I do that! I can't watch Littlest hobo or Lassie for that reason. If I'm watching something where a million people and a cat get blown up, I'm crying for the cat. AWWWWW! QUENTIN!
....see everyone......that's NICE!
I cried when I saw a dead cat on the road-and Im allergic to them!!! I really need to know when to stop cos these last few posts are quite embarrasing!
Awwww don't be! I do it all the time. Have made a nice living out of making a pratt of myself in public.
I like it when people can feel for another being like that. Some would just walk by.
Pratt?!?! Oh no! I wouldn't have gone that far! Only joking! I'm gonna go watch Bambi and toughen up a bit!
Nothing says "MAN" like watching disney.
Awwwww!
Ruby, I was with you (re JJ) at first, but Laura's right. The guy either has unusually thick skin, or he's too dumb to even realise. Besides, unlike bullying in the 'traditional' sense, he really does bring it on himself.
Although granted, the Chortle people make the SS look positively delightful.
Didn't he tell them he's a PE teacher? Says it all really.

She didn't leave you anything in the will?
Has it struck anyone else that the chap could actually have some learning disability? I agree that he could in fact be the thickest-skinned person in the UK, but his persistence and consistent focus on few subjects, for me, point towards something unconscious. I deal with enough brain-injured people that JJs persona makes me wonder...
Just my 2p worth. Oh, and I think the chortle forum has treated him cruelly. The moderators here were much more tactful, FWIW.
Yes, it's something we've considered. A number of comments he's made (both in private and on Chortle) lead us to believe otherwise though.

I don't think he is thicked skinned. If he was, he'd walk away and say,"right, that didn't work out". The fact that he keeps trying doesn't show thick skin or stupidity, it shows desperation plus a group of strangers are bad mouthing him on the internet so it must be too tempting for him to look. Even if he does bring it on himself, IT'S STILL NOT OKAY. That to me is saying that because you find someone annoying, it's okay to treat them like garbage because they deserve it. We all find some people annoying. I'm sure I might annoy some people but if that was the case, would you find it acceptable on BSG if someone started calling me names on here? I wouldn't. I'd be so hurt. What if it was Frankie or Ellie or Leevil just for example? Everyone likes them so if someone came to the forum and decided they didn't like their tastes or posts and laid into them, we'd all go mad and that person would be banned. Why is it different for Jamie because he not as popular?

@Aaron: did he reveal himself as "lifecoach" to chipandale, perhaps?

Not at all. You're over-analysing. He really just doesn't get it. At all. Look for his posts on here (mainly in the DVDs & Other Merchandise forum). He's either completely oblivious to how others feel about him, or doesn't care. Maybe he does have some kind of mental problem, but you seem to be projecting your own experiences onto his case. It's really not as complex as that!

What on earth makes you think that?

Ha ha, yes, there are certain similarities.

I don't think I am projecting anything and that's missing the point. It's still totally unnaceptable to treat him like that. I do understand why he was banned from here but saying he brings it on himself does not give anyone the right to treat him like dirt. Say what you like but don't try and tell me it's okay because he still keeps coming back.
I'm not sure where you think I said it was ok. I said that he doesn't help himself any, he either doesn't care or is completely oblivious, and that we shouldn't be feeling too sorry for him. He's had it spelled out to him, certainly on here if nowhere else, but doesn't take any notice at all.
Maybe you need to calm down a little, then re-read the thread.
