Off Topic; Please help with contest submission

Thanks :)

Basically I want to enter this screenplay contest and I'm having troubled with sorting out my submission.

The website says this - Please send all parts of your submission as one file in Word (.DOC), Final Draft (.FDR) or Adobe Reader (.PDF) file format - no other file formats will be accepted.

Does this mean I have to send it all as one e-mail with the application form and my screenplay attached or does it mean I have to find some way of combining the application with my screenplay in the same document?

Any help is much appreciated, thanks

What format was the downloaded application form?

It is in either Word document or PDF, whichever is more suitable for your individual needs

The important bits seems to be 'all parts' & 'one file'.

Sounds like they want you to incorporate the entry form into your screenplay file.

How you do that, apart from copy and paste I don't know.
Hang around long enough and techy-type will be by with the answer.

EDIT

Actually, forget that.
Why not just get in touch with them and ask.

Like already mentioned, it has to be ONE file.

i.e. Your application, synopsis and script sample all pasted into one Word doc. Or one single PDF doc.

I assume you mean the KillerScript opp, in which case, you upload your submission to their website, or alternatively email it to them if having trouble with the upload tool.
But it must be one file.

**EDIT** Spelt synopsis like a numpty. Sorted.

BTW. You can batch separate PDFs as one file with most PDF converters, but it's probably easier to paste Word docs together.

I've downloaded the Application Form in PDF format and I've written my script in Celtx. But I don't have any idea how to put the two together or what!?!? :(

Are you not better doing it in Word Documents then you can copy/paste the other 'bumf' and include it?

Can you save a Celtx doc to PDF? Does Celtx have that feature?

If so, all you need to do is batch all the PDFs as one PDF. Most PDF converters do this.

Or, as bushbaby says, paste everything (including the Word version of the application form) into one Word doc.
