As a father myself of two boys (and I guess we were all kids once, eh?) I have to say that I agree with you!

I can identify with some of it but I just don't like the show, it doesn't make me laugh or entertain me in any way. I have tried to like it. I do like the actor who plays the father but the others (including the kids) I don't like. They make me cringe!

We do have the show on in my gaff (my landlord has the remote and likes it because of the kids..) but I can't watch it for long! I go and hide in my room after a few scenes.

As I say, each to his own!

Well I had kids but they were of the old school....could be seen but not heard. Those kids in Outnumbered would have been headless if they were mine. LOL

In these days, a wonder that a programme this good gets made, never mind makes 3 series. Brilliant writing and sublime acting, especially by Steve Punt.

Or even Hugh Dennis...?

I love Outnumbered but haven't seen all the episodes. Might have to make a cheeky DVD purchase.

I have never heard the purchase of a DVD described as "cheeky" before.

A "cheeky pint"? Yes. A "cheeky line"? Yes. A "cheeky girl"? Yes. A "cheeky wank"? Possibly. But a "cheeky DVD purchase"? No.

I don't think there are any commentries at the moment (I may be wrong!) There should be though IMO
