The Inbetweeners - Series 3 Page 26

:(

Yeah, but three series and a film is pretty good going. And best to end now before it becomes strained as they try to pretend all four are at university together. Or living in a flat together.

I'd say there's a fourth series in it, let the lads complete the final days at Sixth Form before going separate ways, then end it there.

Was a little underwhelmed by this week's episode, had high hopes after seeing the trailer, was expecting it to be similar to the the 2nd episode of the first series (the best episode they've done in my opinion) but it just really faded into nothing in the last ten mins. I must say that I liked the Benji being put down bit, but I do like melancholy humour - loved the Sherlock scene in That Mitchell & Webb a few months back.

The storylines this series have been more about the lads going off on zany adventures rather than revolving around sixth form (seen barely anything of Donovan or Carli this series and nowhere near enough of Gilbert). Reminds me of series 4 of Peep Show, when very little of the series happened in the flat, still funny, just not playing to the strengths that made the show great. Think someone previously said that it seems like they are building up to the movie, which I think is true.

Had a wishlist of things I'd liked to have happened this series: Jay break down and admit everything he's ever said is a lie, Neil's dad to finally come out, Simon develop a definable character and Will get with Neil's sister. But don't think any of that is gonna happen.

Still the funniest show on TV though (well maybe after 30 Rock, South Park and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia).

I'm sad we haven't seen much of Neil's dad. :(

LoveLamp, I think your post is bang on.

They're in their last days at 6th form already in the 3rd series. A fourth series would have to be set with them at Uni.

I have been wondering why we've seen so little of the other characters this series.

One very good reason not to do series four.

Canadian teen heartthrob Justin Bieber is a huge fan of The Inbetweeners - and wants to make an appearance in it. He said: 'I came across 'The Inbetweeners' and man, it was the funniest thing I had ever seen. It was so real to what actually goes on at school. So many high school shows try to glamorise school, but this was real and that's what made it so funny. If they are going to make a fourth series or a movie, I would make sure I was free to do a cameo. If they want me, I'm there.'

They wouldn't have him, I'd hope.

Maybe they could all beat him up horribly?

Or do to him what Jay did to that squirrel.

Never mind what they said at the end of the ep, that was one dead squirrel.

And, is Jay wearing a wig? No wonder he ain't getting no clunge with an out of order barnet like that.

I heard something about them shooting in Magaluf or Ibiza, maybe a summer holiday few episodes, should be funny.

Don't see why they won't carry on, Peep Show has carried on and just got better.

That's for the movie. It's a lads holiday before uni.

Is anyone half expecting a spin-off series with Will going to Uni? Depending on how the film and last episode play out I can see them going for something like that...

I'd watch that.
