Fair enough. I think it's a good traditional sitcom. It's not re-inventing the wheel, but what it does it does very well. What radio sitcoms do you enjoy, Tony?

Personally I enjoy "Another Case of Milton Jones", "Bleak Expections" and sometimes the Giles Wembley-Hogg shows, otherwise though, I have to be honest, most radio sitcoms leave me cold.

It's just finished, but I really liked the last series of Listen Against.

Richard Herring's got a new show on Radio 4 from Thurs at 6.30pm. I might have to make the enormous effort to remember this.

I enjoyed it, although it did seem to have a lot in common with Heresy. Oh, and I hope that's the last we're going to hear about Hitler's moustache from Herring.

Clare In The Community's first series started repeating on Radio 7 yesterday (Tue 19th Oct) if anyone wants to listen again.

Dan

Just listening to An Audience With Ed Reardon. He works remarkably well in front of an audience. Much better than I thought it would.

Anyone heard this Craig Brown Lost Diaries thing? I presume it's his Private Eye diaries done by impressionists? Any good?

I can't place it but I've never warmed to any of his radio stuff despite liking his writing.

Just listening to Beautiful Dreamers. It's not without a certain charm, but it could do with some more laughs.

My thoughts too. There were one or two things that raised a short titter, but nothing more. Still, I'll try next week to see how it goes.

Bit disappointed with What Went Wrong With The Olympics? so far. Predictable jokes about gross overspending and a naff opening ceremony. Oooh, and there's a camp dance choreographer in it now. Rolling eyes

I don't think wheels need re-inventing. This may be where you're going wrong.
