By the way, I've just heard on the radio, Mclaren's been sacked.
he won't resign. he'll only get the £4 million pay off if he's sacked.
I hope as well as the £4 million he gets a f**king good kick up the arse and is hounded continually by the press as a £4 million payoff is an insult to humanity.

Absolutely ANYBODY with a smattering of football knowledge could be England Manager on the basis of what this man has achieved in his tenure as Manager.
I'm glad they went out, at least we won't have to watch Euro 2008 next summer. English football is now in crisis, and this should make the FA etc wake up and smell the coffee, but of course, they won't. Sack the manager, get a new one and our golden generation will win the next world cup. Yeah, right.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you guys have not had a world class goal keeper since Peter Shilton. I don't often watch the England games, but whenever you read the papers the next day, there's almost always a howler by whoever was playing in goals.
You'll not get anywhere in a competition without a good keeper. You've some world class players, but one mistake and it's all down to a keeper you can't rely on.

It's the manager that makes a team out of a group of individual players, not the other way round. All the players star for their clubs because they have good managers. We have the players, they prove it every week - we don't have the manager.
Why would Hiddink step down a level to manage England? He's off to Euro 2008 remember.
