Terrible actors in good films Page 3

Oh man, Steve Martin has been brilliant in loads of films! Though only films that came out a long, long time ago! He does seem determined to trash his past reputation though.

And by the way, if you think about it, at least 80% of Keanu's films are brilliant. To me that does not support well this belief that he's a 'terrible actor'. You're all brainwashed. He's fine.

I dunno, with him, he is pretty wooden, but has managed to appear in several good films.

I just remembered his 'turn' in Dracula. :P

My main problem with Goodfellas is that it glamorises violent criminals and acts as an apology for the ghastly Henry Hill. I grant you that it is well made.

I disagree. Unlike The Godfather say, that genuinely glamourises gangsters, Goodfellas genuinely shows you how thoroughly reprensible and unpleasant they are. And Henry Hill comes out looking like slime. Whiny slime at the end, as he's clearly unhappy in WP.

Whenever I am on an aeroplane the in-flight movie always seems to be some sentimental tosh starring Steve Martin. I think they are just determined to get some use out of those sick bags.

Plus Godfather is f**king boring. Goodfellas is brilliant fun.

Lol, don't think about it! Everyone was shit in that film.

I'd just about managed to forget that. :|

Oh, don't get me wrong, he's appeared in some right old shit, especially in the last twenty years. In fact, he's probably appeared in more terrible films than good now. Which is a shame.

Hidden in Eddie Murphy's past are some corkers. Then came The Klump years.

The Beverly Hills Cops were all great.

Oh, and did anyone see they're writing a thrid Bill And Ted? Reeves confirmed it the other week, to star himn and the other bloke again.

It is a bit.

He's like the Black Steve Martin; both great in the eighties, both ready to surf a wave consisting mainly of shit from there on in. They even came together for one of their very few post eighties bright spots in Bowfinger.

I once saw Keanu Reeves in a film where he had been rotoscoped. Even being transformed into a cartoon could not disguise the deficiencies in his acting.

Van Damme's made three good films: Timecop, Universal Soldier and JCVD. And of course Universal Soldier is Dolph Lungrens only decent film.
