Loved Angel Heart though.
Cruise is great in Collateral, Magnolia, 4th July and the two Speilberg SF films he did. Not a favourite of mine, but he has his moments.

Rourke should play Batman in an adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns. He'd be brilliant, and his pummled face would even fit as he would have been smacked about a lot over the years! He'd have to have a haircut thought, get rid of that weird, long greasy mess he's rocking.
Ron Jeremy has been in a few corkers, I'm not too sure about his films though.

When we talk about the most memorable actors, Ron is certainly up there.
And further than most.
As much as I enjoy slagging off Tom Cruise, and as mental as he must be in real life, I ALWAYS enjoy his films.
Most really big stars get there on the back of some cracking films. I can't think of any biggies that haven't got at least a couple of zingers.

For such a big star, Angelina Jolie hasn't headlined many good films. I don't think I've seen any with her that I've thought much of.

I remember when I was little in the 70's thinking it was the likes of Clint Eastwood, Paul Newman, Burt reynolds, Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino.
80's Jack Nicholson, Meryl Streep, Robert De Niro, Harrison Ford, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Demi Moore, Bruce Willis?
90's Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks,Kevin Costner? Anthony Hopkins?, Michael Caine, Sean Connery?
OO's George Clooney, Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt,
I'm not much of a film buff so that list is probably way off, or did the idea of a few big stars ruling the roost dissipate as time went on.

Changeling is great if you ever get to see it. So is A Mighty Heart despite the depressing subject matter. And Wanted and Hackers are good trashy fun. Plus she's in a film with Johnny Depp soon. Should be interesting.

To an extent. But there are still big names who can "open" a movie. Take Tom Cruise's latest, Knight and Day, piss poor reviews and bad American box office, yet his name alone has meant it's still made money globally.
