Photo, into word (which has some very basic but handy contrast and colour tools, so I can get rid of all of all the greyscale, and have solid colours). Then into paint.
I could have drawn it in paint but I don't have a mouse or stylus- just a red dot!

Now that is dedication... Doing it the really hard way.
You don't need the full (expensive) Photoshop at your level.
Get a copy of Photoshop Elements which is the basic part of Photoshop. Anything you learn using that is easily used on the full version later.

They probably have a licence for Photoshop or some other good image editing program at work, fo use in publications, so flutter your eyelashes at your IT support person and get him to install it on your work laptop.
