He was my second favourite star in my younger days, my first being Victor Mature
Tony Curtis RIP Page 2
Quote: Kenneth @ October 1 2010, 10:46 AM BSTI had a girlfriend who loved quoting that (restored) line about snails and oysters.
You've had some very classy girlfriends, Kenneth. The ones I meet quote from EastEnders and probably haven't even seen an oyster, unless MacDonald's have suddenly started doing oyster burgers. Send your rejects my way, eh?

I've only ever seen him in Samson.

I think they're all taken now, apart from a tyrannical Australian girl, whom I'd wish on no one.

In which case I recommend After the Fox. And The Robe, and Demetrius and the Gladiators.
I hadn't realised I'd seen Some Like it Hot till I saw clips recently but I have and I liked it loads.
Quote: Leevil @ September 30 2010, 4:17 PM BSTOK, it always happens. Here's a good one from Twitter.
Tony Curtis is going to be cremated - well some like it hot!

Oh! was really hoping for a bar of rock. (waits 2 minutes for Sootyj to re post as 'bit of cock')
Some Like it Hot is one of my favourite movies. I had an Ancient Greek teacher who was into movies and he would use movie analogueies a lot. One day he asked if anyone had seen SLIH and I raised my hand with a little too much enthusiasm as he explained to the class of 20 years olds that it was an original cross dressing movies. And here I thought it was a couple of randy guys trying to get into Marilyn Manroe's skirt.

Sure it wasn't Harry Belafonte?
RIP Tony Curtis. Such a great talent that he managed to completely out-act Roger Moore in The Persuaders. Also indirectly responsible for the Jamie Lee Curtis tits-out shot in Trading Places.
I liked him best in the TV commercial: Domestos and the Radiators. Rust in Peace.
Sad news. The best thing he ever produced was Jamie Leigh.
