The Inbetweeners - Series 3 Page 18

I'd prefer a series to a film to be honest, but I shan't make a fuss.

Me too. Films seem to ruin things.

BRING ON A SERIES 4!

However, I don't know how they'd do it if they'd all left school. Wouldn't be as funny.

It's not as if we'd really notice if they stayed on a couple of years.

The Simpsons stayed the same age for years!

Bit of botox and they could carry on well into their 30s!

They've gone and bagged another award:

Will: "Neil, you're dribbling."
Neil: "Fanks."

Laughing out loud

My favourite episode to date.

Just a quick question...content wise, how does this one compare to the first two? My oldest desperately wants me to find them for him. He's seen the first two...

I just watched the 2nd episode. Had some good bits in it. The making "hash" tea with tea made me do a LOL.

Unrealistic side-effects. But I'll agree with zoooy, this is Will. He was overreacting. Still, Simon could've rubbed his eyes a bit and I don't think uncooked weed has an effect when ingested.

Do you mean is it suitable for your son? If so, there's a few risky jokes and Jay's tales can be quite full of bad language. But overall it's just shit and vomit gags.

Hang on, I've got confused. Must be all the puff I've been smoking...

Yes, I watched it with my eldest, because in my mind it was just a slightly risque comedy, but I started to feel uncomfortable about it. It's quite a naughty show, which has a veneer of innocence over it. Lots of sexual references and swearing, which seem innocuous to adults because the context is that the characters are naive, but your kids won't know that.

Finally just got round to watching this week's episode. Probably the least funny episode of The Inbetweeners I've seen, which isn't to say there were no laughs, just way off par.

This series is very cartoonish compared to the previous two and I'm not sure I like it. The writers seem to be taking the fact that they're making a sitcom as a license to do whatever they want so long as it's funny. That would be fine if they hadn't written two series of generally realistic and relatable comedy already.

Great episode, lots of big laughs.

Good ep but can't help but feel, as with last weeks, it didn't deliver on the second half.

Yeah I agree, I thought the first two episodes were a little cartoony as a couple of people have mentioned, lots of visual gags and a bit more farcical but this episode reminded me a lot of the first couple of series. Very good and Will's horrified look at the huge hand was brilliant. Should have made a series 4 though, the first two series were over the course of a year.

A few good laughs, but after the excellent episode 2 it really felt lacklustre overall. None of those truly magical moments.

You were making pasta throughout half of it though. ;)

I really enjoyed it.
