I had the cynical part of my brain lobotomised as part of a scientific experiment funded by the BBC to find out why Celebrity Come Dancing was a load of shit.

They discovered it wasn't the cynical part of the brain, but the inescapable fact that it was shit that was the problem. They're repeating the test for Strictly Come Dancing on Ice.

This time they're removing the part of the brain that deals with reasoning, but I have no idea why?

LAME! Sorry!

haha... you said 'come'.

I'm currently writing Ep2 of my sitcom, and this is the episode I'll be sending off. When I look back at Ep1, ok it's not brilliant, BUT it was a worthwhile effort to write it in order to get into the heads of my characters. I've put enough into Ep2 (hopefully) that anyone reading it can pick up the situation pretty quickly anyway. Fair enough, if all the planets line up and some demi-god of a script writer smiles kindly upon Ep2, then I'll go back and do a major rewrite of Ep1, but I couldn't have written my character's subsequent adventure(s) without that first cathartic excercise.

I'm with Phil the Philistine. I found that by writing two I really knew my characters, whereas if I'd only done one it would have been a bit crapper. Doing the second helped me go back and make episode 1 better. It was still disappointing, but not as much as it would have been.
