Any successful/experienced writers on this forum? Page 2

I think it's pretty cool that people have been recognized for their good writing on here. Especially the BBC looking at a sitcom pilot! I suppose that's how I would class success, it shows you're going in the right direction :)

As for experience, I haven't got any! Not really anyway, I've been writing properly as a hobby for a year now and all I've got to show for it is I got into the final round of the Ustinov Television Award. I'm still pretty proud tho :)

This came up in a topic on the Oppurtunities section and I was told to make it into a separate topic.

I was just curious whether there were any successful and experienced writers here.

Cheers.

I hope to be a successful writer of the word opportunitie...opatuneaty... opputunnity...never mind...

I wouldn't think a successful writer earning thousands would be on a forum :)

There's a couple.

Why not?

Yep, I know a few. We had Andrew Collins on when Not Going Out was on for a start.

True. Though, generally speaking, Andrew Collins (like Micheal Jacob) only posts on here when he has something to plug.

Yeah, I hate those blatant tactics. You can learn more about marketing yourself in a less obvious way if you come to the London Screenwriters' Festival - discount and links in my signature. <3

Why the hell would you want a butt plug designed to cause pain, a hat shaped like a dick or bridge you could live under?

Now, now, Joel. People are gonna think we don't like each other.

I'm a huge success. Sadly not as a writer but a short distance runner. I can literally cover the distance of my own leg span quicker than anyone else I know.

Did you get many takers for people to cover the distance of your leg span? Probably doesn't have the same effect doing it to yourself...

I believe you're being specious about my achievements and I find that rather upsetting.
