We think this being a comedy forum, Phill Jupitus would be the only relevant news we have to mention. If you'd like more information on the festival just visit www.canterburyanifest.com

There are probably more animators on here than Phil Jupitus fans ;)

Certainly Bagpuss. I'd love him like he hasn't been loved since Emily loved him.

Well given the amount of animation fans here, I'll do a proper shout out about the full days activities and events!

This years Canterbury Anifest promises to be the most exciting yet, with some of the country's most iconic animated characters.

At 11am to start the day, Wallace & Gromit will be coming to Anifest, come and see your favourite characters! Aardman Animations will be giving an insight int the making of Britains best loved animated duo.

12.30am, a special one off screening of The Gruffalo, BBCs hit animated feature film shown last Christmas.

2.30 Children of Small Films. We'll be celebrating the work of Oliver Postgate and Peter Firman (Bagpuss, The Clangers and Ivor the Engine) through a special talk from their families.

4pm We'll be showing the competition entries from the best short animated films competition from across the UK

Well don't worry - Emily Firman will be at Anifest!

*Crumbs*

Maybe a better response with a thread title change and a move to writers discussion? Mods?

Bagpus is a beautifully poignant show.

A quick update, alongside Phill Jupitus we will also be feauring the comedy talents of Emma Kennedy!

Oooooooooooooh. Now you've got me interested!

I know Phill Jupitus is popular, but £25 seems a bit steep. Maybe if he was doing a stand up act, or if there was a meal (ok, for £25 it would have to be a small meal), but as it stands...

I don't know why Phill Jupitus made me think of food...

Actually £25 is for the whole days activities which includes Wallace & Gromit, The Gruffalo, Bagpuss and animation film screenings from around the UK.
