Oh dear.
Just watching HBO's Big Love on DVD (£8 from HMV) and enjoying it immensely. Especially Harry Dean Stanton and Bruce Dern. Pity it looks like none of the other series will be released or shown here.
I just watched Four Lions too
One of those films I don't know what to make of.
It certainly made me laugh. The acting was great, the story too - but a little too close to home.
I saw in the credits after, it said 'only one sheep was killed in the making of this film' lol.
Splinter. A nifty low-budget horror movie with shades of The Thing. Nice arm removal scene too.
Are you sure you weren't just watching The Thing?

Yes. This one had a lady in. The Thing was a complete Lady Free Zone.
Watched Prince of Persia last night. What a load of tosh.
I watched Tais Toi! Joyous fun. In many ways Francis Veber is the French cinematic equivalent of P.G. Wodehouse. He has only one trick, but it is so beautifully and cleverly done that his films can be viewed over and over. Unlike the movies of Jean-Luc Godard, which are pretentious tosh.
Watched a lot of animated movies over last few weeks .
Watched Superman/Batman: Apocalypse last night.
It was a little underwhelming.
Very underwhelming the attempt to remake the Ultimates as The Avengers was pathetic.
Comics need balls
Big hairy brass ones.

Ultimate Avengers was alright. Introducing Captain America, and the Hulk fight at end were really good. Middle was a bit weak Iron man was a little shit.
Been watching the HBO series The Comeback this week. It's actually pretty good and Lisa Kudrow - who has her knockers - is excellent. Similar to Extras, but probably more realistic. Well worth a punt.
Finally finished watching 'What Women Want'
I was really enjoying it but it felt to me as if the ending had been written by someone completely different.
