No worries! I have set myself up for abuse slating many people's favourite sitcoms but it's all in the name of light-hearted entertainment......I hope!
Dos and Don'ts of Comedy - Sitcoms Page 2
Dave you have come onto this forum advocating some advice on writing sitcoms on another website of your own - the advice isn't good advice, it is badly written spurious nonsense, the posts you have made here have all been about your original website. Good luck with that. But please don't try and tell people how to do something on a writing forum that you don't have the least idea how to do yourself. But don't take it seriosuly because hey... it's all light hearted entertainment.

You've made me want to read his thing now, Marc. I hope you're happy!

I'm good, it's all off my chest now and I can go back to failing without knowing quite why.
I don't really think the animosity was necessary there Marc. You clearly have a problem with the article which is fine, but please don't see things that really aren't there, simply so you have something to complain about.
I've said that I know nothing about writing sitcoms or comedy series' and I also said the article isn't a guide for how to write one. So, I'm really not sure how you can then claim that this is actually my poorly conceived motive, rather than the more logical one that I, myself, presented, which is that it's just a bit of light entertainment on some of the mistakes existing sitcoms have made and which ones have succeeded (a fact anyone can see when they watch them, as they are all fairly obvious). The only reason it is in this forum at all is because a moderator moved it here, another fact I have already said.
You do seem to have a knack for ignoring everything that's in front of you Marc, in order to resolutely attack with your own opinion in a seemingly vague attempt to police a forum you must think you own.
I've been very nice and reasonable in my replies to your criticisms, saying sorry where needs be, but you insist on repeating the same arguments. Why not take a step back, read through everything I've written, see that I'm really not trying to be anything that I'm not, and then come to a logical, reasonable conclusion?
COME ON ENGLAND!
(just trying to break the tension in here)
Grrrr...
I'm not going to be satisfied until somebody's bleeding.
