ARE YOU YOUNGER THAN 12?
If not you should be ok.

I am.
Quote: AngieBaby @ September 15 2010, 9:28 PM BSTI couldn't give a monkey's about his visit, and definitely don't think the taxpaper should be paying for it. But if he were to be assasinated on UK soil it would be a political catastrophe. We offer a safe refuge for all sorts here, so he should be no exception.
More's the pity. If he was to get shot, maybe it'd send a signal to undesirables across the globe that they're not safe or welcome either.

Shouldn't do.
Quote: Nat Wicks @ September 15 2010, 9:49 PM BSTGah Hyde Park, that won't mean any problems with Oxford Street shopping will it?
Shouldn't do.
In fairness he is the head of a state and nominal spiritual leader of over a billion people. And both the queen and the last 2 PMs invited him.

Yes.
And he better be footing the cheque for my coffee.
Yes.
Frankly.
But an actual leader such as a President, however incompetent and ineffective, is very different to the pseudo-leader who is the Pope.
Poor old Barrack all he wants to do is give sick people free health care, stimulate the economy and smoke the odd bit of doobage.
And everyone hates him for it,

He's black, get over it!
I'm reading The Case Of The Pope by Geoffrey Robertson at the mo.
(feel free to add an Amazon link here)
It's probably the only book I've ever read deserving of the blurb "devastating indictment". I'm only half way through it, and listening, in contrast, to the BBC's fawning coverage today has left me trembling with impotent rage.
The only thing the Catholic church cares about is the Catholic church, anybody who believes otherwise needs to read this book.
The Pope has suggested we 'resist the more aggressive forms of secularism.'
Well that's me told, then!

Replace "secularism" with "Islam" and imagine the outrage.
