Children in Need

Wouldn't it be less cruel for us to pledge money in return for the BBC giving up programming for several prime time hours (maybe, just show the old test card)? It would ensure we aren't subjected to this level of shite again. Even the participants look embarrassed this year.

I like some bits of it, but much is pretty repetitive and tragic. And I remember some of those pleading ads from last year. And the year before that.

for the first time i didn't watch it, which speaks volumes.

I liked :
a) Doctor Who
b) the camp one off hollyoaks doing marc bolan, but still managing to be quite cute.
c) Take That doing one of them earnest 'please ring in' bits.

Ooh, and d) Barrowman singing! Forgot that one.

The rest was poo, as any sane person would expect. (Although I didn't actually watch it all.)

Obviously I'm not watching it. It's just - ahem - on in the background. For example, Denise van O is getting away with it now because The Look of Love is such a great song. And then they ruin it with the chat...

Oh christ, it's on again.
:D

It's crap, I did work the event once at the BT Tower (technician) but I would never watch that crap, or awards shows. You really must want to waste your life if you sit through all that twaddle!

I'm being ironic of course! ;)

I loved the Hotel Babylon bit though.

I just donated! :)

What you're organs after being driven to suicide?

I just wish they would stick this stuff on another channel so I could watch the back end of Ross while being drunk at a mate's house :(

Maybe you should find something more to your sad life than drinking to Jonathan Ross? :P

Laughing out loud If theres a world without getting drunk and watching Ross then I don't want to live in it :P

Well I watch Ross, but certainly don't drink.

Best world I can think of. Pleased

Thats because Harry Potter is too young to drink :P I could do without the hangovers though :(

Children in Need, a plugfest for anyone and everyone who was 'kind' enough to smile brightly before handing over a huge cheque. Fern Cotton - this years alternate to Sue Cook - doing her best to bring a touch of the playground to the show with brilliant and constant soundbites like 'brilliant'. And didn't Prunella Scales look quite uncomfortable.

What a load of old bollex
